About

After a career as a ski instructor, Somerset transitioned into fine woodworking, retraining in joinery at the Building Crafts College. Raised in a creative household—his mother, Caroline, studied under renowned furniture designer John Makepeace—Somerset developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and design from an early age.

He honed his skills as a furniture maker in London before pursuing his own creative vision. Studying under Marc Fish and Theo Cook at Robinson House Studio, Somerset refined his approach to fine furniture and contemporary design, blending traditional craftsmanship with innovative techniques.

His work explores the interplay between organic and inorganic forms, often incorporating mixed media. Inspired by both Art Deco and natural forms, Somerset’s pieces reflect a balance of elegance, precision, and artistic exploration.

Elegance you can touch,
quality you can trust.
